Resistance in the North East continues

In spring 1070, Sweyn Estrithsson landed again.  Despite their terrible punishment, the locals again offered help and support

After this, the North East saw much less resistance.  Sweyn Estrithsson caused trouble every time he landed, but he began concentrating on the Fens.

The North East only saw one more major outbreak of resistance:

The men of Gateshead murdered the bishop of Durham and a hundred Frenchmen.
